A chilling ‘burn after reading’ letter written by Roberta to Brian is highlighted in the Netflix true-crime series. It read:

I want you to understand that my love for you is constant and unwavering. I have no doubt that the same goes for you towards me. You are someone very special to me, and nothing — not distance, disagreements, or time — can change that.
